Zec 12:1–14:21 Ac 26:1–32 Job 31:1–8
1. A revelation, Yahweh’s word concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:
2. “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and it will also be on Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.
3. It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.
4. In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.
5. The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Yahweh of Armies their God.’
6. In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they will devour all the surrounding peoples, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.
7. Yahweh also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of David’s house and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.
8. In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and David’s house will be like God, like Yahweh’s angel before them.
9. It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10. I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.
11. In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
12. The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of David’s house apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
13. the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;
14. all the families who remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

1. “In that day there will be a spring opened to David’s house and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.
2. It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will be remembered no more. I will also cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land.
3. It will happen that, when anyone still prophesies, then his father and his mother who bore him will tell him, ‘You must die, because you speak lies in Yahweh’s name;’ and his father and his mother who bore him will stab him when he prophesies.
4. It will happen in that day, that the prophets will each be ashamed of his vision, when he prophesies; neither will they wear a hairy mantle to deceive:
5. but he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondservant from my youth.’
6. One will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’
7. “Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says Yahweh of Armies. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.
8. It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh, “two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.
9. I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, ‘It is my people;’ and they will say, ‘Yahweh is my God.’ ”

1. Behold, a day of Yahweh comes, when your plunder will be divided within you.
2. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
3. Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4. His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two, from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5. You shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel; yes, you shall flee, just like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.
6. It will happen in that day, that there will not be light, cold, or frost.
7. It will be a unique day which is known to Yahweh; not day, and not night; but it will come to pass, that at evening time there will be light.
8. It will happen in that day, that living waters will go out from Jerusalem: half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. It will be so in summer and in winter.
9. Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one.
10. All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she will be lifted up, and will dwell in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses.
11. Men will dwell therein, and there will be no more curse; but Jerusalem will dwell safely.
12. This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who have fought against Jerusalem: their flesh will consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will consume away in their sockets, and their tongue will consume away in their mouth.
13. It will happen in that day, that a great panic from Yahweh will be among them; and they will each hold onto the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
14. Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered together: gold, and silver, and clothing, in great abundance.
15. A plague like this will fall on the horse, on the mule, on the camel, on the donkey, and on all the animals that will be in those camps.
16. It will happen that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to keep the feast of booths.
17. It will be, that whoever of all the families of the earth doesn’t go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, on them there will be no rain.
18. If the family of Egypt doesn’t go up, and doesn’t come, neither will it rain on them. This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of booths.
19. This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of booths.
20. In that day there will be on the bells of the horses, “HOLY TO YAHWEH”; and the pots in Yahweh’s house will be like the bowls before the altar.
21. Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Yahweh of Armies; and all those who sacrifice will come and take of them, and cook in them. In that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of Yahweh of Armies.
  Zechariah Zechariah 12

There is a special relationship between God and His people, the believers have a unique blessing to God. Not the people that only believe but the people that have a relationship with the heavenly father, He expresses a special favour to those that draw close to Him.

Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; Zec 13:7

And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, Zec 13:9
…and test them as gold is tested. Zec 13:9.
I will say, ‘They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ” Zec 13:9

Fathers, need to be the leader pointing to God, Leaders need to lead and point to God, Pastor’s need to lead and point to God, we will be tested of our faith, and when we walk through the fire because of God’s faithfulness, we are purified, burnt some of the sin’s and the worlds views, opinions and ways of thinking. Each time God allows the fiery tests to come and consume us that we have areas burnt away for His glory.

And there shall be a unique day, _l_which is known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light.
 Zec 14:7
I this pointing to the return of Jesus, as this seems worded very similar to the way Jesus says it that only the Father knows?

The Feast of Booths occurs on the fifteenth day of the seventh month and lasts seven days (Lev 23:33–43), with an eighth day of solemn assembly following (Lev 23:33–43). This timing falls in late September to late October, after the completion of grain threshing and grape pressing1.

God is for us, we should daily draw closer to Him, for His face is precious and glorious, His provision is complete ,and His mercy never fails, the reading in Zachariah has been a real eye-opener that I do not recall seeing before and this has been a clear indication of how the Word can light up and give understanding, I praise our Father in heaven for He is a patient and gracious father.

The festival serves dual purposes. Exodus emphasizes its agricultural significance as the “Feast of Ingathering,” celebrating thanks giving and joy following the harvest and God’s abundant provision2. More profoundly, participants dwell in booths for seven days to remember that God made the people of Israel dwell in booths during their exodus from Egypt (Lev 23:33–43). This week-long celebration commemorates the forty-year wilderness journey3, serving as a reminder of God’s faithfulness and protection3.

On the first day, participants gather fruit of splendid trees, palm branches, leafy boughs, and willows, and rejoice before the LORD for seven days (Lev 23:33–43). The festival was one of three pilgrimage feasts when all Jewish males were required to travel to Jerusalem to “appear before the Lord”3.

The feast carries eschatological significance. Prophetic promises of the Lord’s return to dwell among his people with the establishment of his kingdom on earth were naturally linked with this feast, with fulfilment predicted in Zechariah 142. In that future day, everyone who survives of all nations that came against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King and keep the Feast of Booths.

The remaining biblical passages referenced to include Deuteronomy’s account emphasizing rejoicing with family members and servants at the place the Lord chooses, with the promise of blessing in all produce and work (Deut 16:13–15), and Nehemiah’s description of the post-exilic celebration when the people constructed booths on roofs and in courtyards, experiencing great rejoicing after centuries of discontinuance (Neh 8:13–18).

1. Agrippa said to Paul, “You may speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand, and made his defense.
2. “I think myself happy, King Agrippa, that I am to make my defense before you today concerning all the things that I am accused by the Jews,
3. especially because you are expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews. Therefore I beg you to hear me patiently.
4. “Indeed, all the Jews know my way of life from my youth up, which was from the beginning among my own nation and at Jerusalem;
5. having known me from the first, if they are willing to testify, that after the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
6. Now I stand here to be judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers,
7. which our twelve tribes, earnestly serving night and day, hope to attain. Concerning this hope I am accused by the Jews, King Agrippa!
8. Why is it judged incredible with you, if God does raise the dead?
9. “I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10. I also did this in Jerusalem. I both shut up many of the saints in prisons, having received authority from the chief priests, and when they were put to death I gave my vote against them.
11. Punishing them often in all the synagogues, I tried to make them blaspheme. Being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.
12. “Whereupon as I traveled to Damascus with the authority and commission from the chief priests,
13. at noon, O king, I saw on the way a light from the sky, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who traveled with me.
14. When we had all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’
15. “I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ “He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
16. But arise, and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose: to appoint you a servant and a witness both of the things which you have seen, and of the things which I will reveal to you;
17. delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you,
18. to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
19. “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,
20. but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.
21. For this reason the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me.
22. Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen,
23. how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.”
24. As he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are crazy! Your great learning is driving you insane!”
25. But he said, “I am not crazy, most excellent Festus, but boldly declare words of truth and reasonableness.
26. For the king knows of these things, to whom also I speak freely. For I am persuaded that none of these things is hidden from him, for this has not been done in a corner.
27. King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”
28. Agrippa said to Paul, “With a little persuasion are you trying to make me a Christian?”
29. Paul said, “I pray to God, that whether with little or with much, not only you, but also all that hear me today, might become such as I am, except for these bonds.”
30. The king rose up with the governor, and Bernice, and those who sat with them.
31. When they had withdrawn, they spoke to one another, saying, “This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.”
32. Agrippa said to Festus, “This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”
  Acts Acts 26

Keeping it true, Paul presents to everyone who can hear, his testimony. We should keep our words simple and true, saying nonsense things are for children that have not experienced life. God is king ,and He is Lord, to speak otherwise is simply foolish. Times can call for plain words and expressing the, true does not need to sound like a poem for boastfully say words that have no substance, keeping it clear and simple is the best, as Paul does here. Lord give me clarity of mind to speak plainly.
1. “I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?
2. For what is the portion from God above, and the heritage from the Almighty on high?
3. Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, and disaster to the workers of iniquity?
4. Doesn’t he see my ways, and count all my steps?
5. “If I have walked with falsehood, and my foot has hurried to deceit
6. (let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know my integrity);
7. if my step has turned out of the way, if my heart walked after my eyes, if any defilement has stuck to my hands,
8. then let me sow, and let another eat. Yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.
  Job Job 31

Keep my heart on you Father, my God and King. My actions should showcase your love, and when they do not I humbly ask for forgiveness, as you have shown mercy and grace, and do anything other than showing your love brings my dishonour, forgive me Father, wash me in the blood of Jesus.
