Mal 1:1–2:9  Ac 27:1–44   Job 31:9–22
1. A revelation, Yahweh’s word to Israel by Malachi.
2. “I have loved you,” says Yahweh. Yet you say, “How have you loved us?” “Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” says Yahweh, “Yet I loved Jacob;
3. but Esau I hated, and made his mountains a desolation, and gave his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness.”
4. Whereas Edom says, “We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places;” Yahweh of Armies says, “They shall build, but I will throw down; and men will call them ‘The Wicked Land,’ even the people against whom Yahweh shows wrath forever.”
5. Your eyes will see, and you will say, “Yahweh is great—even beyond the border of Israel!”
6. “A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, then where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is the respect due me? Says Yahweh of Armies to you, priests, who despise my name. You say, ‘How have we despised your name?’
7. You offer polluted bread on my altar. You say, ‘How have we polluted you?’ In that you say, ‘Yahweh’s table is contemptible.’
8. When you offer the blind for sacrifice, isn’t that evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, isn’t that evil? Present it now to your governor! Will he be pleased with you? Or will he accept your person?” says Yahweh of Armies.
9. “Now, please entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With this, will he accept any of you?” says Yahweh of Armies.
10. “Oh that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you,” says Yahweh of Armies, “neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
11. For from the rising of the sun even to its going down, my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering: for my name is great among the nations,” says Yahweh of Armies.
12. “But you profane it, in that you say, ‘Yahweh’s table is polluted, and its fruit, even its food, is contemptible.’
13. You say also, ‘Behold, what a weariness it is!’ and you have sniffed at it”, says Yahweh of Armies; “and you have brought that which was taken by violence, the lame, and the sick; thus you bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand?” says Yahweh.
14. “But the deceiver is cursed, who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices to the Lord a defective thing; for I am a great King,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and my name is awesome among the nations.”

1. “Now, you priests, this commandment is for you.
2. If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.
3. Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and will spread dung on your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and you will be taken away with it.
4. You will know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my covenant may be with Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.
5. “My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might be reverent toward me; and he was reverent toward me, and stood in awe of my name.
6. The law of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many away from iniquity.
7. For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of Yahweh of Armies.
8. But you have turned away from the path. You have caused many to stumble in the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.
9. “Therefore I have also made you contemptible and wicked before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.
  Malachi Malachi 1

A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am _h_a father, where is my honor? And if I am _i_a master, where is my fear? says the Lord of hosts to you Mal 1:6

But you have turned aside from the way. Mal 2:8

 You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have corrupted _o_the covenant of Levi, says the Lord of hosts, Mal 2:8

A strong word to the people that represent God, the shepard’s, be careful for, God has a clear instruction to you, and to offer half-hearted and false things, people who give nothing but the best to God, be careful as there is extra attention to you and harsher judgement as you should know better.
1. When it was determined that we should sail for Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion named Julius, of the Augustan band.
2. Embarking in a ship of Adramyttium, which was about to sail to places on the coast of Asia, we put to sea, Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.
3. The next day, we touched at Sidon. Julius treated Paul kindly, and gave him permission to go to his friends and refresh himself.
4. Putting to sea from there, we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.
5. When we had sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.
6. There the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy, and he put us on board.
7. When we had sailed slowly many days, and had come with difficulty opposite Cnidus, the wind not allowing us further, we sailed under the lee of Crete, opposite Salmone.
8. With difficulty sailing along it we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near the city of Lasea.
9. When much time had passed and the voyage was now dangerous, because the Fast had now already gone by, Paul admonished them
10. and said to them, “Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”
11. But the centurion gave more heed to the master and to the owner of the ship than to those things which were spoken by Paul.
12. Because the haven was not suitable to winter in, the majority advised going to sea from there, if by any means they could reach Phoenix, and winter there, which is a port of Crete, looking southwest and northwest.
13. When the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, they weighed anchor and sailed along Crete, close to shore.
14. But before long, a stormy wind beat down from shore, which is called Euroclydon.
15. When the ship was caught and couldn’t face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.
16. Running under the lee of a small island called Clauda, we were able, with difficulty, to secure the boat.
17. After they had hoisted it up, they used cables to help reinforce the ship. Fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis sand bars, they lowered the sea anchor, and so were driven along.
18. As we labored exceedingly with the storm, the next day they began to throw things overboard.
19. On the third day, they threw out the ship’s tackle with their own hands.
20. When neither sun nor stars shone on us for many days, and no small storm pressed on us, all hope that we would be saved was now taken away.
21. When they had been long without food, Paul stood up in the middle of them, and said, “Sirs, you should have listened to me, and not have set sail from Crete and have gotten this injury and loss.
22. Now I exhort you to cheer up, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.
23. For there stood by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve,
24. saying, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’
25. Therefore, sirs, cheer up! For I believe God, that it will be just as it has been spoken to me.
26. But we must run aground on a certain island.”
27. But when the fourteenth night had come, as we were driven back and forth in the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors surmised that they were drawing near to some land.
28. They took soundings, and found twenty fathoms. After a little while, they took soundings again, and found fifteen fathoms.
29. Fearing that we would run aground on rocky ground, they let go four anchors from the stern, and wished for daylight.
30. As the sailors were trying to flee out of the ship, and had lowered the boat into the sea, pretending that they would lay out anchors from the bow,
31. Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, “Unless these stay in the ship, you can’t be saved.”
32. Then the soldiers cut away the ropes of the boat, and let it fall off.
33. While the day was coming on, Paul begged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day that you wait and continue fasting, having taken nothing.
34. Therefore I beg you to take some food; for this is for your safety; for not a hair will perish from any of your heads.”
35. When he had said this, and had taken bread, he gave thanks to God in the presence of all, then he broke it and began to eat.
36. Then they all cheered up, and they also took food.
37. In all, we were two hundred seventy-six souls on the ship.
38. When they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea.
39. When it was day, they didn’t recognize the land, but they noticed a certain bay with a beach, and they decided to try to drive the ship onto it.
40. Casting off the anchors, they left them in the sea, at the same time untying the rudder ropes. Hoisting up the foresail to the wind, they made for the beach.
41. But coming to a place where two seas met, they ran the vessel aground. The bow struck and remained immovable, but the stern began to break up by the violence of the waves.
42. The soldiers’ counsel was to kill the prisoners, so that none of them would swim out and escape.
43. But the centurion, desiring to save Paul, stopped them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should throw themselves overboard first to go toward the land;
44. and the rest should follow, some on planks, and some on other things from the ship. So they all escaped safely to the land.
  Acts Acts 27

Under the lee” means to sail on the sheltered side of something—the side protected from the wind

Gods provision in the storm, when God is in control there are always storms, physical or emotional or operationally. God is control, and there are moments during the storm when things that seem to not exist, they do, like criminals not running away in the most opportune time. God is in control, sometimes just look harder for His hand and you will see it.
9. “If my heart has been enticed to a woman, and I have laid wait at my neighbor’s door,
10. then let my wife grind for another, and let others sleep with her.
11. For that would be a heinous crime. Yes, it would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges;
12. for it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase.
13. “If I have despised the cause of my male servant or of my female servant, when they contended with me,
14. what then will I do when God rises up? When he visits, what will I answer him?
15. Didn’t he who made me in the womb make him? Didn’t one fashion us in the womb?
16. “If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,
17. or have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless has not eaten of it
18. (no, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, I have guided her from my mother’s womb);
19. if I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the needy had no covering;
20. if his heart hasn’t blessed me, if he hasn’t been warmed with my sheep’s fleece;
21. if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate,
22. then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder blade, and my arm be broken from the bone.
  Job Job 31

Keeping your eyes and heart from wondering, God is king and He is Lord. His gifts of relationships like marriage are sacred and pure, when we worship Him, we abide in His law of covenant. Keep what is Gods pure, and it will be good with.
