About
I am 46 years old. I grew up in South Africa, and I still live here. For most of my life I have been trying to make a living. I have tried many different things, and I have stumbled a lot along the way.
Through all of it, God has been at the helm of my life, whether I knew it or not. For a long time, though, I was following my own ideas. I was always stressed and always chasing the next big thing, and every time I got there I still felt empty.
Growing up in a Christian household, God was never a foreign idea. However, from living rather close to God, then slowly drifting away from a close relationship with God as life puts pressure to build a career and get things done, I found myself in desperate need for the love and care that He brings. Rededicating my life to Him, I have slowly drawn closer to Him by reading His word, going to church and consuming podcasts and other material has helped my journey towards the Lord. I am by no means a perfect person, nor do I claim to be, but His love and hand have been on my life so many times that it is staggering.

- Articles: longer pieces on what I am learning as a man trying to live for God.
- Resources: books, podcasts and channels that have helped me, and that I think are worth your time.
- Blog: Normal events that can be interesting and potencially helpful from a human perspective and things that happen in my life.
Why this site
We want to help men have a relationship with God, and to challenge each other to draw closer to God through His Word. The Bible is the authority. My reflections are only an invitation to read it for yourself. If something here helps you, I am glad. If it sends you to the Word, even better.
