Accept Jesus

Following Jesus starts with a decision of the heart, not a perfect performance. The Bible says: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

If you have doubts, take your doubts and follow Jesus. Please do not wait, all your questions will be answered in time.

A prayer to start

If you mean these words, pray them. The words themselves aren't magic; it's the honest turning of your heart to God that matters.

Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I can't fix myself. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. Today I turn from my old way of living and ask You to forgive me. Come into my life, be my Lord and Saviour, and help me follow You from this day on. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

What now?

Read your Bible a little each day (the daily notes are a good place to start), talk to God honestly, and don't walk this alone. Find a church where you can be around other believers.

Logos is a great resource, you can chose which bible version you want to use, ESV and NIV are really good ones to use, and later if you want to dig deeper you can use the subscription to get more resources that can help, but starting for a long while with the free version will absolutely deepen your relationship if you spend a little time each day to build the habit.

Find a church

Plug into community, find a local church, so that with the daily reading you get the bennifit of praising the Father with a community. Here are a couple but look around you will be surprised how many there are, a God fearing, bible preaching church will help you grow and strengthen your faith.
