Ezekiel 14:1-15:8 - WEB-OFFLINEBibleGateway ↗

1. Then some of the elders of Israel came to me, and sat before me. 2. Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 3. “Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be inquired of at all by them? 4. Therefore speak to them, and tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet; I Yahweh will answer him therein according to the multitude of his idols; 5. that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.” ’ 6. “Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations. 7. “ ‘ “For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me, and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Yahweh will answer him by myself. 8. I will set my face against that man, and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from among my people. Then you will know that I am Yahweh. 9. “ ‘ “If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, Yahweh, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel. 10. They will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him; 11. that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, neither defile themselves any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God,” says the Lord Yahweh.’ ” 12. Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 13. “Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread, and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal; 14. though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness,” says the Lord Yahweh. 15. “If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it, and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals; 16. though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They only would be delivered, but the land would be desolate. 17. “Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, ‘Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off from it man and animal;’ 18. though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only would be delivered themselves. 19. “Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my wrath on it in blood, to cut off from it man and animal; 20. though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness.” 21. For the Lord Yahweh says: “How much more when I send my four severe judgments on Jerusalem, the sword, the famine, the evil animals, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and animal! 22. Yet, behold, there will be left a remnant in it that will be carried out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they will come out to you, and you will see their way and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought on Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought on it. 23. They will comfort you, when you see their way and their doings; then you will know that I have not done all that I have done in it without cause,” says the Lord Yahweh.

1. Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 2. “Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine-branch which is among the trees of the forest? 3. Will wood be taken of it to make anything? Will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel on it? 4. Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and the middle of it is burned. Is it profitable for any work? 5. Behold, when it was whole, it was suitable for no work. How much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it has been burned, will it yet be suitable for any work?” 6. Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7. I will set my face against them. They will go out from the fire, but the fire will devour them. Then you will know that I am Yahweh, when I set my face against them. 8. I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass,” says the Lord Yahweh.

> Ezekiel Ezekiel 14

Falsehood is a real thing with God, maybe thats why it does not sit well inside us at root level. We groan inside when someone is false, as we are created to be truthful, and truthful to our maker.

“ that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, nor defile themselves anymore with all their transgressions, but that they may be my people and I may be their God, declares the Lord God. ” - Eze 14:11

“ For thus says the Lord God: How much more when I send upon Jerusalem my four disastrous acts of judgment, sword, famine, wild beasts, and pestilence ” -  Eze 14:21

Is this how judgement is delivered? Fighting or conflict, resource shortage, natured claiming or havoc and disease.

Continued judgement against the people that say and act like they are holy without knowing the face of God, by having a daily search for God, thinking about Him and what He wants for their lives and humbly asking for guidance and prevision, these people that act like they know but actually do not, here in Ezekiel it is clear that they are dealt with harshly.

Revelation 5:1-14 - WEB-OFFLINEBibleGateway ↗

1. I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals. 2. I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?” 3. No one in heaven above, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book or to look in it. 4. Then I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look in it. 5. One of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome: he who opens the book and its seven seals.” 6. I saw in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. 7. Then he came, and he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne. 8. Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9. They sang a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals: for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood out of every tribe, language, people, and nation, 10. and made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign on the earth.” 11. I saw, and I heard something like a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders. The number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands; 12. saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!” 13. I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!” 14. The four living creatures said, “Amen!” Then the elders fell down and worshiped.

> Revelation Revelation 5

“ And one of the elders said to me, ‘Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.’  “ - Re 5:5

How glorious the vision to highlight the majesty of Jesus, the one who conquered death and rose and lives, the one that fulfils the law and the requirements of the Father.

“ Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing! ” - Re 5:12

The anthem of our hearts.

Job 33:29-33 - WEB-OFFLINEBibleGateway ↗

29. “Behold, God does all these things, twice, yes three times, with a man, 30. to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living. 31. Mark well, Job, and listen to me. Hold your peace, and I will speak. 32. If you have anything to say, answer me. Speak, for I desire to justify you. 33. If not, listen to me. Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.”

29. Margin, “twice and thrice,” alluding to Job 33:14; once, by visions, Job 33:15–17; secondly, by afflictions, Job 33:19–22; now, by the “messenger,” thirdly, Job 33:23.

Seems a often pattern with Job and potentially in our lives, is the communication or verification from God through more than one method, so to say “ I heard from God” needs to be verified in another sense, like someone confirming or a word coming in the morning readings coupled with events that align with people and so on, as to simple “ Hear from God” could very well be just your random thoughts.
