Ezekiel 39:25-40:49 - WEB-OFFLINEBibleGateway ↗
25. “Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Now I will reverse the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel. I will be jealous for my holy name. 26. They will bear their shame, and all their trespasses by which they have trespassed against me, when they dwell securely in their land, and no one will make them afraid, 27. when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations. 28. They will know that I am Yahweh their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them to their own land. Then I will leave none of them captive any more. 29. I won’t hide my face from them any more; for I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord Yahweh.”

1. In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was struck, in the same day, Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me there. 2. In the visions of God he brought me into the land of Israel, and set me down on a very high mountain, on which was something like the frame of a city to the south. 3. He brought me there; and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate. 4. The man said to me, “Son of man, see with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I will show you; for you have been brought here so that I may show them to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.” 5. Behold, there was a wall on the outside of the house all around, and in the man’s hand a measuring reed six cubits long, of a cubit and a hand width each. So he measured the thickness of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed. 6. Then he came to the gate which looks toward the east, and went up its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate, one reed wide; and the other threshold, one reed wide. 7. Every lodge was one reed long and one reed wide. Between the lodges was five cubits. The threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate toward the house was one reed. 8. He measured also the porch of the gate toward the house, one reed. 9. Then he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its posts, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was toward the house. 10. The lodges of the gate eastward were three on this side, and three on that side. The three of them were of one measure. The posts had one measure on this side and on that side. 11. He measured the width of the opening of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits; 12. and a border before the lodges, one cubit on this side, and a border, one cubit on that side; and the lodges, six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side. 13. He measured the gate from the roof of the one lodge to the roof of the other, a width of twenty-five cubits, door against door. 14. He also made posts, sixty cubits; and the court reached to the posts, around the gate. 15. From the forefront of the gate at the entrance to the forefront of the inner porch of the gate were fifty cubits. 16. There were closed windows to the lodges, and to their posts within the gate all around, and likewise to the arches. Windows were around inward. Palm trees were on each post. 17. Then he brought me into the outer court. Behold, there were rooms and a pavement made for the court all around. Thirty rooms were on the pavement. 18. The pavement was by the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates, even the lower pavement. 19. Then he measured the width from the forefront of the lower gate to the forefront of the inner court outside, one hundred cubits, both on the east and on the north. 20. He measured the length and width of the gate of the outer court which faces toward the north. 21. The lodges of it were three on this side and three on that side. Its posts and its arches were the same as the measure of the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits. 22. Its windows, its arches, and its palm trees were the same as the measure of the gate which faces toward the east. They went up to it by seven steps. Its arches were before them. 23. There was a gate to the inner court facing the other gate, on the north and on the east. He measured one hundred cubits from gate to gate. 24. He led me toward the south; and behold, there was a gate toward the south. He measured its posts and its arches according to these measurements. 25. There were windows in it and in its arches all around, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits. 26. There were seven steps to go up to it, and its arches were before them. It had palm trees, one on this side, and another on that side, on its posts. 27. There was a gate to the inner court toward the south. He measured one hundred cubits from gate to gate toward the south. 28. Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate. He measured the south gate according to these measurements; 29. with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide. 30. There were arches all around, twenty-five cubits long, and five cubits wide. 31. Its arches were toward the outer court. Palm trees were on its posts. The ascent to it had eight steps. 32. He brought me into the inner court toward the east. He measured the gate according to these measurements; 33. with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide. 34. Its arches were toward the outer court. Palm trees were on its posts on this side and on that side. The ascent to it had eight steps. 35. He brought me to the north gate, and he measured it according to these measurements; 36. its lodges, its posts, and its arches. There were windows in it all around. The length was fifty cubits and the width twenty-five cubits. 37. Its posts were toward the outer court. Palm trees were on its posts on this side and on that side. The ascent to it had eight steps. 38. A room with its door was by the posts at the gates. They washed the burnt offering there. 39. In the porch of the gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, on which to kill the burnt offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering. 40. On the one side outside, as one goes up to the entry of the gate toward the north, were two tables; and on the other side, which belonged to the porch of the gate, were two tables. 41. Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate: eight tables, on which they killed the sacrifices. 42. There were four tables for the burnt offering, of cut stone, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high. They laid the instruments with which they killed the burnt offering and the sacrifice on them. 43. The hooks, a hand width long, were fastened within all around. The meat of the offering was on the tables. 44. Outside of the inner gate were rooms for the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate. They faced toward the south. One at the side of the east gate faced toward the north. 45. He said to me, “This room, which faces toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the duty of the house. 46. The room which faces toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the duty of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, who from among the sons of Levi come near to Yahweh to minister to him.” 47. He measured the court, one hundred cubits long, and a hundred cubits wide, square. The altar was before the house. 48. Then he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side. The width of the gate was three cubits on this side and three cubits on that side. 49. The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the width eleven cubits; even by the steps by which they went up to it. There were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.
> Ezekiel Ezekiel 39
When he brought me there, behold, there was a man whose appearance was like bronze, with a linen cord and a measuring reed in his hand. And he was standing in the gateway (Eze 40:3)
I was thinking that the person is an angel but using Logos bible app I looked up who is this person : The figure in Ezekiel 40:3 is an angel1—a heavenly messenger sent to conduct Ezekiel through a visionary tour of the future temple. This being appears with bronze-like features and carries measuring instruments (a linen cord and measuring reed) while standing at the temple’s gateway. The bronze appearance distinguishes this figure from another divine guide Ezekiel encounters earlier in his visions, suggesting they are separate beings2.
The angel’s role centers on precise documentation. He instructs Ezekiel to observe carefully and report all measurements and details to Israel (Ezek 40:3–4). The measuring tools serve distinct purposes—the linen cord for longer distances and the reed for shorter measurements2. This meticulous measuring symbolizes exactitude in the temple’s dimensions, reflecting the symmetry and perfection of God’s design
God is not a God of chaos but rather order, His word has many moments of order being displayed, something to keep in mind when dealing with problems in our lives, am I bringing chaos or is the enemy? How should I bring my problems to the Lord and have the Holy Spirit in struct me, if I get the prompt that I should change something and it aligns with the Word, then be ready to make the change.
In (Eze 40:39) And in the vestibule of the gate were two tables on either side, on which the burnt offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering were to be slaughtered.
40And off to the side, on the outside as one goes up to the entrance of the north gate, were two tables; and off to the other side of the vestibule of the gate were two tables.
41Four tables were on either side of the gate, eight tables, on which to slaughter.
42And there were four tables of hewn stone for the burnt offering, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high, on which the instruments were to be laid with which the burnt offerings and the sacrifices were slaughtered. (Eze 40:39)
The reason why I thought that this was interesting was that the offering tables are by the gate, this seems to paint a picture how we come to the father, through the Son, which was an offering in our place, the offering is the door way. Jesus is the door way, He died and rose from the dead to be a replacement for the old sacrifices and for our sin so that we could enter to the presance of the Father.
Revelation 19:11-20:6 - WEB-OFFLINEBibleGateway ↗
11. I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. 12. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. 13. He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called “The Word of God.” 14. The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen. 15. Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. 16. He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” 17. I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the sky, “Come! Be gathered together to the great supper of God, 18. that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, small and great.” 19. I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse, and against his army. 20. The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21. The rest were killed with the sword of him who sat on the horse, the sword which came out of his mouth. All the birds were filled with their flesh.

1. I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2. He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years, 3. and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time. 4. I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as didn’t worship the beast nor his image, and didn’t receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5. The rest of the dead didn’t live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.
> Revelation Revelation 19
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
12His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.
13He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God (Re 19:11-13)
Lord I bend my knee to you now, as my Lord as the day that is shown here, I do not want to bend my knee then because I rejected you now, I humbly as your servant as you have saved me.
These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur (Re 19:20), this what I have always know Hell to be, maybe this is where contemporary thought and information has taken inspiration for hell from.
And he seized pthe dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and qbound him for a thousand years,
3and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while. (Re 20:2-3) This is interesting as there is a moment when the existence of Satan is there but he is powerless to do anything as he is bound, Revelation is a book of past, present and future all rolled up into one, and to bring that lens on this scripture is very interesting and needs some deeper reading and understanding, is this connected in anyway to when Paul writes “resist the devil, and he will flee”?
Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. (Re 20:4-5)
Now this I do not understand, and needs more reading as there is a time when some are with Jesus, are these only the people that accepted Christ? It does mention some criteria are the people that accepted Christ but did not actively pursue the great commission have to wait, these are interesting question's, taking the questions to Christ in prayer and continue reading, if its the will of the Father, some light will be shed, but the focus for now that I will have is that the evil one is put down and Jesus reins.
(Rev 19:8). These deeds do not earn the bride her righteous standing before the Lamb, but they speak of a life that is transformed.

25. Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunder storm, 26. to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man, on the wilderness, in which there is no man, 27. to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to grow? 28. Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew? 29. Whose womb did the ice come out of? Who has given birth to the gray frost of the sky? 30. The waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen. 31. “Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion? 32. Can you lead the constellations out in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs? 33. Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you establish its dominion over the earth?
> Job Job 38
Do you know wthe ordinances of the heavens? Can you establish their rule on the earth? (Job 38:33)
The conversation between God and Job is such a clear conversation that we often have with the Father when we daily bend our knee to Him, speaking openly.
